Hello All- Newbie Lotus
Hi All,
I am Nick who has a Lotus Elan S3 1968 in the throes of nearing a completed nut and bolt reassembly after being laid up by the previous owner since 1974- so hoping to celebrate its birthday this year.
I also need help from any local Lotus Drivers Club members who have restored a similar lotus and in particular have become expert in resolving wiring problems on these cars- so any contacts appreciated.
I live in the East Midlands area and look forward to joining other members on this forum and hopefully attend local meets as I have been a LDC member for some 3-4 years now.
Thanks in advance and if anyone wants any tips or photos as to what I have completed - drop a PM and be glad to assist.
Nick

Re:
Hello and welcome to the Lotus Drivers Club forum Nick. We have plenty of events in the Midlands area for you to attend, and our Midlands Monthly meeting at the Arrow Mill Hotel, Alcester is a good evening meet. Sounds like you have been having plenty of fun and progress with your Elan, photos and tips are more than welcome and hopefully you will meet some other members in the same boat.

Re: Hello All- Newbie Lotus
Hi Nick
If you are in the East Midlands then perhaps the nearest LDC meeting is near Castle Donington at the Clock Warehouse Pub at Shardlow, about 5 mins off the M1 at junction at 24a. We meet every second Tuesday of the month which this month just happens to be TONIGHT!
Within the regular attendees there are a couple of guys who have owned their Elans since new when they built them from kits and another guy who is working his way throughh his S3 bought recently and also an S1 which has just gone back on the roads after 30 years! So between them and some other clever bods they might be able to help out in some way, if you are free tonight pop along if not look out for next month.
