Race Predictions

Bahrain Grand Prix - 14th March

Come on then lets see who can best predict the results of the first race for 2010. This will undoubtedly be the most difficult to foresee, so top marks to the winner! Here's my top 3 and just as important, the Lotus result;

1st; Fernando Alonso (Ferrari)
2nd; Lewis Hamilton (McLaren)
3rd; Michael Schumacher (Mercedes)

12th; Heikki Kovalainen (Lotus)
14th; Jarno Trulli (Lotus)
being conservative for good luck

my prediction.....

1st; Massa
2nd; Button
3rd; Vettel

9th; Heikki Kovalainen (Lotus)
11th; Jarno Trulli (Lotus)

I'm going for:

1. Lewis Hamilton
2. Alonso
3. Vettel.

11. Heikki
14. Trulli.

(maybe CAM 19th at Brands Hatch....new car, wrong colour gloves etc) ! !

Is the friday practice shown on the TV or web any where ?

This is worse than playing the lottery. I think the 'no refuelling' rule will throw a few spanners. Race length testing proved that the laptimes will vary hugely hroughout the race and it will be so easy for the set up to be wrong at either end of the spectrum of fuel and weight. I think even the 'top four' teams will need some luck in getting this right first time out in race conditions. Also it will be so easy to flat spot a tyre with such heavy cars etc etc etc. As for the Lotus, it was still about 4-5 seconds off the pace at the Barcelona tests but was showing good reliability. They said thay had some good data, knew which direction to move te set and have had a bit of time to implement those changes - let's hope so. I think Jarno is better able to drive the car over a wide range of conditions/settings but Heikki could be quicker if everything is perfect. So they could well luck a double finish in the first race which would be amazing. Assuming a clear run when others have problems could leave them quite high up......

9. Jarno Trulli (very optimistic!)
12. Heikki Kovalainen

Wow such faith in New lotus.
My guess is ( usually miles out, I think I came last in the F1 game)

Pole - Hamilton

1st Button( deja vu)
2nd Vettel
3rd Webber.

and Lotus - any result would be great - it's the Cosworth power output which worries me!

15th and 17th for lotus, so get in!

Well done Kim ... got the podium finishers spot on and nearly the order. Also not far off with the Lotus result either!

My Austrailian Grand Prix predictions are:

1 Vettel
2 Alonso
3 Webber

Lotus
17th Heikki
19th Trulli

Here's mine. Still think Ferrari will be the team on top for Australia.

2. Vettel (Red Bull)
3. Massa (Ferrari)

15. Heikki (Lotus)
17. Trulli (Lotus)

Lets hope there's more action than Bahrain...I don't want to fall asleep again

and a struggle for 17th for Jarno Trulli

Tash wins the second race!

All her drivers scored points, 28 in ALL, chris close with 27!

Tash also closest to Heikki who finished 13th.
