Once I had the turbo in hand, it was noticed that there was a hairline crack. I have tryed to highlight this in the photo below. I don't think that porting it will remove the crack far enough back. I have just spoken to SJs who said they looked at one this morning and a crack in that position is irrelevant and will only give a slight loss of pressure (if at all). Come renewal time they are likley not to quote for you as they are no longer covering "future" classics. It would appear that this is generally cars produced after 1980. Thats a shame as they are a knowledgable and friendly company and have no complaints about them. It's bubbling up and the best way to describe it is that it looks like braille. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what have you done to rectify this? i have spoken to some fibre glass specialists and they say it has occured because the panels were left in a damp environment when it was made.
