A third Lotus for me ! a Europa Twincam

Yes yes I've been going on about getting a S1 Europa for some time now, but luckly some most helpful friends from here have talked me out of the madness and into the light.
But the aching for a Europa would not subside and when I was offered a 1972 twincam for £3K I had to have the car

The car was owned by a lovely old chap who had made an excellent job of restoring it, the car was in mint condition ten years ago, then sadly he became very ill, the head gasket went so the car was stored under a polythene sheet for along time, hence the paint is covered in micro blisters.
Generously the car came with many spares including a good chassis, 5 speed gearbox, new stainless steel exhaust and lots other new spares.

I collected the car last sunday but I won't start work on it until I have moved house next month

Well done Matt...you rescued it then, can't wait to see you how you get on with it - based on the fantastic jobs you have done on the others I'm sure it will be wonderful. What colour is it to be, still green/white, what was it originally?
